In accordance with the General Staff’s Work Plan, the annual briefing on the combat readiness status of subordinate commands and units for the current year, 2024, was given to the Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Major General Sashko Lafchiski.
During today’s briefing, the commanders of subordinate commands and units informed the Chief of GS about the activities carried out, the level of equipment within the units, and its impact on combat readiness. They also provided updates on the state of their units in terms of personnel management, force protection, operations, training and exercises, logistic support, communications, budgeting, and civil-military cooperation.
Additionally, they outlined the implementation of planned tasks, the achieved results in meeting NATO standards, the progress of transformation process, Army engagements in assisting institutions during crisis situations, as well as the living and working conditions in garrisons.
At the end of the briefing, along with conclusions on the current situation, the Chief of the General Staff provided directives for the implementation of planned activities for the following year.
