The Women’s Day was marked with a cocktail on 8th March at the military hotel “Shar” at Popova Shapka in honour of the military servicewomen in the ARM GS.
The Chief of ARM General Staff, Lieutenant General Gorancho Koteski upon this occasion organised a lunch at the military hotel “Shar” for the servicewomen of ARM GS. Lieutenant General Koteski congratulated the Women`s Day and expressed his gratitude to the General Staff servicewomen for their contribution by performing their duties and emphasised ARM ’s strong commitment to include women in the Army, where they can achieve a successful professional career.
The number of women in the ARM does not differ from the rest of the European countries, which is a proof that ARM is an open institution that offers equal opportunities. Today, women in ARM are not only a part of the logistic support units, but also serve in the combat units which confirms ARM `s policy for gender equality in the army.
All ARM Commands and units will mark and celebrate this year’s Women’s Day.
