ARM’s composition has been enriched with 125 professional soldiers. After today’s military ceremony in the barracks “Ilinden” in Skopje, they will commence their training. Upon training completion, the soldiers will perform assigned tasks at the same level as other ARM members.
“Professionally trained, motivated and proficient military personnel is a key element for the success of any army” – this is the message addressed to the professional soldiers by the Minister of Defence Zoran Jolevski.
Besides the Minister of Defence, today’s ceremony marking the commencement of the training of newly recruited professional soldiers was also attended by the Deputy Defence Minister Bekim Maksuti, the Director of ARM General Staff Major General Dimche Petrovski, ARM generals, senior figures of the MoD and ARM, as well as commanders of ARM commands and units.
After completing the quarterly additional vocational training, which will be carried out in the ARM units, the professional soldiers will continue their military career in the units where they are deployed.
In this contingent of newly recruited professional soldiers there are six females; 49 of the soldiers have completed the selective course and will be deployed in the Special Operations Regiment; most of the soldiers will be deployed in the units within the Joint Operational Command.
The recruitment of professional soldiers improves capacity of ARM commands and units with young people who, after completion of training and through continuous professional development, will be qualified for professional and devoted execution of assigned tasks.
