At today’s meeting between the Chief of GS of ARM Lieutenant General Metodija Velichkovski and the Commander of the South-Eastern Europe Brigade (SEEBRIG), Brigadier General Numan Yediyildiz, the contribution of ARM by participating with its declared units within the brigade was highly assessed.
Besides meeting with the Chief of GS, the Commander of SEEBRIG had a meeting with the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Defense Ilmi Selami. Brigadier General Numan Yediyildiz is leading the delegation from SEEBRIG, which will evaluate the declared units of ARM that are part of the brigade from 16 November to 18 November, in accordance with the Working Plan of the Command of the South-Eastern Europe Brigade.
During the mentioned period there will be an evaluating visit of the declared mechanized infantry company, and tomorrow the declared engineers platoon within the Engineers Battalion at Ilinden barracks in Skopje will be visited.
SEEBRIG was founded on 31 August 1999 in Plovdiv, based on the previously signed agreement in Skopje, 1998 by the Ministers of Defense of seven countries in the region for establishing multinational peacekeeping forces. The command of the brigade is currently located in Tyrnavos, Larissa in Republic of Greece.
