The President and the Commander-in-Chief of the Army, Gordana Siljanovska Davkova together with the Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Vasko Gjurchinovsi visited the Special Forces Battalion who are conducting training at the Water Training Camp in Ohrid.
President Siljanovska Davkova was welcomed with military honors and then briefed on the capabilities of the Special Forces Battalion. In addition, she saw a demonstration of the skills and efficiency of the Special Forces Battalion through display of water operations and martial arts.
Special Forces Battalion servicemen demonstrated special operations procedures in a hostage crisis situation onboard a vessel including an MI-8/17 helicopter of the WING within the Air Force of the Army.
The members of the unit called the “Wolves” demonstrated some of the martial arts skills which are the trademark of our elite unit.
During the display of special skills, which is part of the Special Forces Battalion training in accordance to the NATO standards, they demonstrated high level of training and skills to conduct complex missions on water according to the scenarios, including proficiency in martial arts.
The President congratulated the Special Forces Battalion servicemen on their success in demonstrating their special skills, pointing out that they displayed high level of skills to conduct complex missions on water, as well as demonstrating proficiency in martial arts. This confirms the professionalism, dedication and skillfulness of our Army, conducting tasks in a dignified and disciplined manner according to NATO standards. She emphasized that this is the reason why the Army is highly evaluated by NATO and highly trusted by the citizens.
The Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Vasko Gjurchinovsi was satisfied that the President and the Commander-in- Chief of the Armed Forces praised the readiness of the Army service personnel, which is going to be their motivation and obligation to continue that trend in the future.
