Mission:
To plan, organize, coordinate and provide logistics support to II level units which are supported by the LS Scheme and overall LS of its own units.
Tasks:
- To plan, organize, coordinate and provide logistics support when it is responsible for:
– Supply;
– Maintenance and repair;
– Movement and transport, infrastructure and
– Services.
- To coordinate and direct LS requests from commands and units which are supported by LBn;
- To reinforce logistics scope of supported units when conducting training, being in the field or in combat and participating in peacekeeping missions;
- To provide logistics support at the military barracks for all units which work and live in the garrisons.
Lieutenant Colonel Zoranche Ristovski
Lieutenant Colonel Zoranche Ristovski was born on May 21, 1971 in Bitola. He completed his secondary education at the Electro-mechanical School in Bitola, after which he continued his education at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Bitola, where he graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. At the Military Academy “General Mihailo Apostolski” – Skopje he completed the officers’ course for armed services and obtained the rank Lieutenant.
He started his military career as Commander of a Technical Support Platoon in the 2nd Logistics Battalion – Kichevo. In his career so far he has performed several command and staff duties at the battalion level, and from 19.02.2019 he was appointed Commander of the 2nd Logistics Battalion.
He has completed several technical service courses including Automated Logistic Specialist, Fort Lee, Virginia, CREVAL course in Zagreb, Croatia and others. He has participated in many exercises in country and abroad such as: LOGEX 2013 Sarajevo, B&H, REGEX 2019, from July 2008 to January 2009 he participated in the ISAF mission in Afghanistan and from July 2015 to July 2016 in the UNIFIL mission in Lebanon.
He continued his education at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Bitola where he obtained a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He has been awarded and commended many times and honored with the NATO Medal for Participation in ISAF Peace Support Operation in Afghanistan, UN Medal for Participation in the UNIFIL Mission in Lebanon, Silver Badge for Coordination, Cooperation and Partnership, Small Golden Plaque from CHGS.
He is fluent in English and holds STANAG 3.3.3.2+ certificate.

The 2nd Logistics Battalion began its mission on 01.04.2006.
In the past, the overall structure of the 2nd Logistics Battalion was engaged in the implementation of the duties and responsibilities arising from the mission assigned to the 2nd Logistics Battalion.
As a result of all activities undertaken by the members of the 2nd Logistics Battalion a high level of the overall combat readiness, homogeneity and unity of military collectives were provided enabling faster implementation and realization of the tasks which were assigned to us.
This can be seen below through the indicators and implementation of the following tasks:
- Providing units with personnel and technical and material assets;
- Development of guidelines and reports;
- Daily movement on units, organization and execution of marches and transport of technical and material assets;
- Successful and quality implementation of the set mission and essential tasks with maximum effort by all personnel;
- Providing logistical support to the 2nd Mechanized Infantry Brigade;
- Realization of garrison activities in the Kichevo, Ohrid and Tetovo garrisons;
- Restructuring pursuant to the adopted Strategic Defence Review;
- Guard security of detached facilities: Chelopeci , Erebino , Kukul and Maucker , the Bitola barracks;
- Logistical support of the 2nd Mechanized Infantry Brigade units in their preparations for participation in the ISAF mission in Afghanistan.
- Participation with own personnel within the ISAF contingents;
- Upgrade and putting into operation the service station in Kichevo;
- Installing new fuel dispensers at the petrol stations in the Tetovo and Kichevo barracks;
- Built platform overhang in Tetovo;
- Putting a new roof on the military hospital in Ohrid, the laundry utility in Kichevo, a storage facility for technical and material assets in Ohrid, the thermoelectric block in Prilep and the watchtower in Popova Shapka;
- Automatic switching of a backup generator in the Brigade Command;
- Sanitation system and toilets adaptation in the building 25 in Kicehvo;
- Built platform in auto camp facility St. Naum;
- Repaired machine part in the laundry facility in Kichevo;
- Parking adaptation in the Kichevo barracks;
- Putting into operation the thermoelectric block in Prilep;
- Complete renovation of buildings 11 and 12 in the Kichevo barracks;
- Renovation of the facility in Popova Shapka;
- Renovation of the building for accommodation for guards and staff at the storage facility Erebino;
- Transferring most of the facilities in the Bitola barracks to the local self-government;
- Dislocation of the units from the Ohrid barracks to the Kichevo barracks;
- Performed arrangement of facilities for accommodating the unit which remained for guard duty in the barracks in Ohrid;
- Performed demolition of part of the facilities in the Kichevo barracks and the salvaged material that could be used was taken to the auto-camp St. Naum;
- Active participation in the construction of new facilities at the auto-camp St. Naum;
- Performed building arrangement of the Service Station in the Kichevo barracks;
- Performed complete arrangement of basement space in the 2MIB command (building number 3);
- Relocation of the restaurant equipment and part of the canteen from the Bitola barracks to the restaurant in Krushino;
- Arranged premises and handed over for the LIS needs in the barracks in Tetovo and Kihcevo;
- Demolition of 16 buildings in the barracks in Kichevo;
- Change of a part of the crude oil transportation line in the thermoelectric system in Kichevo;
- Transferring ownership of 7 buildings from the Kichevo barracks to the local self-government of Kichevo;
- Implementation of various activities for logistical support to civilian structures;
- Logistic support and active participation in the adaptation of facilities and internal installations in the barracks at the Prilep garrison in order to create living and work conditions for the ARM units working there.
