Mission:
The Military Medical Centre provides protection and improvement of the Army members’ health, and consequently provides high level of combat readiness of the units, commands and centers of the Army.
Tasks:
- Performance and control of preventive-medical activities, in the units and centers of the Army;
- Primary health care of the Army and MoD employees;
- Specialist health care of the Army and MoD employees.
- Medical provision of:
– Field training activities of the Army units;
– VIP persons and delegations from the country and abroad;
– Participation of the medical personnel in peacekeeping missions;
– Bearer of the accomplishment of the partnership goal to construct a Role-1 Mobile field hospital for medical support of the Army;
– Medical training of the ARM and MIA personnel, as well as of members of NATO and PzM countries.
Preventive Medicine Department (PMD)
Essential task of the PMD is improvement and maintenance of health and readiness of the Army members through:
- Conducting preventive-medicine activities in the units, centers and commands of the Army:
– Hygiene-prophylactic and anti-epidemiologic measures;
– Sanitary inspection and hygienic-epidemiologic assessment;
– Disinfection, fumigation and pest control;
– Systematic specialist check-ups (AVL, MoD employees, before and after a mission, voluntary military service, schooling abroad and in diplomatic-consular offices).
PMD is organized into 5 departments which function as organizational-professional unity in the course of work, they are:
- Epidemiology department;
- Hygiene-chemical department;
- Microbiology department;
- Occupational health department;
- Medical informatics department.
Military Ambulance
Tasks:
- Primary general-medical care;
- Primary dental care;
- Medical provision in the barracks and during field training activities of the Army units.
- Medical provision of VIP persons and delegations from the country and abroad during visits of the Army and the MoD.
Specialist Consultative Activity Department
Tasks:
- Systematic specialist check-ups
- Specialist health care of the Army and MoD employees in the domain of ambulance-polyclinic specialist services:
– Internal medicine,
– Neurology;
– Psychiatry;
– Ophthalmology;
– Otolaryngology;
– X-ray diagnostics;
– General dentistry;
– Pediatric/Children and preventive dentistry;
– Orthodontics of jaw and teeth;
– Diseases of the mouth and teeth;
– Dentist prosthesis.
Medical Training Department (MTD)
Carries out medical training of the ARM members, members of other state institutions in Republic, as well as for the needs of NATO and Partnership nations. The total number of participants who have attended and successfully completed the courses in MTD is 2029, 1679 of whom in Macedonian language and 350 in English language.
Tasks:
- Training for rendering emergency assistance and self-assistance;
- Training for life-savers;
- Training of medical teams;
- Training of instructors;
- Training and practice of the medical personnel of the Army.
Colonel Elizabeta Naumovska-Petreski
Colonel Elizabeta Naumovska-Petreski was born on 16th December 1972 in Skopje. She received her formal education in her home town. She graduated as a doctor of medicine at the Faculty of Medicine at the University “Ss Cyril and Methodius” in 1999. She became a Preventive medicine specialist in 2011.
Her professional career in the army in 2000 began at the Military Academy “General Mihailo Apostolski” in Skopje. Her active service started in 2001 as a Chief of the Medical infirmary at the Military Clinic “ Ilinden” in Skopje.
She was the head of the Military clinic “Ilinden” in Skopje from 2002 to 2006.
She has attended numerous courses and military medical exercises in the country and abroad. She participated in the exercises “Rescuer 2006 – Medceur” in 2009, 2010 and 2012, “Safe Path” and “Seven Start” in 2012. In 2015 she took part in one of NATO’s biggest military exercises “Trident Juncture 15”.
In 2015 she completed the NATO Joint Medical Planner Course and in 2019 NATO Standardization Course. She participated in two EU missions in 2010 and 2013. In 2013 she was the leader of the medical team and the Senior national representative. She has been a national coordinator of the Project Interconnection of Military Hospitals in the framework of countries of South Eastern Europe since 2015. She was the president of the NATO Environmental protection work group for standardization in the area of military medicine from 2013 to 2019. She received many awards and appraisals for her work, such as Certificates of appreciation by the Minister of Defence in 2005 and 2007, the CGS of the Army in 2014, 2016, and 2019, the Commander of the Logistics Support Brigade, and the Commander of the Skopje Garrison. She speaks English fluently. Lieutenant Colonel Elizabeta Naumovska-Petreski is married and has two daughters.

- Chief of the infirmary at the Military clinic “Ilinden”- Skopje (2001-2002);
- Head of the Military clinic “Ilinden” – Skopje (2002-2006);
- Officer for procurement and military planning at the Health department J4/GS (2006-2007);
- Chief of department for military medical planning, training and exercises of the Military Medical Centre (MMC) (2011-2012);
- Deputy Commander / Chief of Staff at MMC (2012-2020).

- Lieutenant 2001-2004;
- Captain 2004-2009;
- Major 2009-2017;
- Lieutenant Colonel 2017-2023;
- Colonel 2023.
The Military Medical Centre was founded on 11th January 2010, with a decision from the President of the Republic of Macedonia, after the transformation of the Military Hospital.
Peacekeeping missions
- Participation, with personnel, in the ISAF mission in Afghanistan, as part of the Joint Medical Team from the Adriatic Charter countries (Macedonia, Croatia and Albania) in seven rotations, in the period between 2005 and 2009.
- Participation, with personnel, in 13 rotations in the mission ALTEA/EUFOR in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the period between 2006 to present date.
- Participation, with two officers for preventive medicine, in the EUFOR command.
- Participation, with a surgical team, in the mission of ISAF – Afghanistan, as part of the Norwegian field hospital. This mission started in 2008.
