In the period from 18 to 22 October 2021, in the barracks “Jane Sandanski” in Stip, the planning process for the exercise “Flash 22” continued through the realization of the Initial Planning Conference (IPC), in accordance with COVID-19 protocols.
At the opening of the planning conference, the director of the exercise, Lieutenant Colonel Zoran Sumracki, emphasized the main priorities for this phase of the planning process.
During the conference, the exercise planning team worked on:
- Initial identification of Exercise Control (EXCON) personnel;
- Initial identification of the Main Event Lists;
- Identification of needs and requirements for Army commands and units supporting the exercise;
- Identification of tasks and setting deadlines for primary and secondary training units.
Within the IPC, a working meeting was held between representatives of the exercise planning team, representatives of the team that will carry out the assessment and representatives of the Assessment Directorate of the Hellenic Army. The guests were introduced to the planning process and they shared their experiences from the previous CREVAL assessments of the Hellenic Army units.
The assessment of the declared light Infantry Battalion (lIBn) will be carried out in accordance with assessment standards for combat readiness of land commands and units of NATO Allied Land Command (CREVAL).
