27 November – The Day of the Reconnaissance and Intelligence Battalion (RecceIntelBn) within the Operations Command (OC) was marked with a military ceremony at the barracks “Ilinden” in Skopje.
At the ceremony, the Commander of the Operations Command, Brigadier General Mirche Gjorgoski, and the Commander of the Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Zoran Cvetkovski, addressed the attendees.
General Gjorgoski emphasized that the members of the Reconnaissance and Intelligence Battalion are proud successors of generations of rangers, continuing the tradition and spirit of the unit since its establishment, driven by the motivation to always be one step ahead.
The Unit Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Cvetkovski, highlighted that the battalion today is a modern, highly trained, and flexible unit, equipped and capable of carrying out tasks in both low- and high-risk environments.
During today’s ceremony, congratulatory messages for the Day of the Unit were read, along with orders for incentive measures.
The ceremony was attended by the Commander of the Operations Command, Brigadier General Mirche Gjorgoski, the Commander of the Training and Doctrine Command, Brigadier General Lulzim Nuredini, the Commander of the 1st Infantry Brigade, Brigadier General Dejan Chiplakovski, the Commander of the Logistics Base, Colonel Muharem Muharemi, the State Adviser in the Ministry of Defense, Brigadier General Besnik Emini, Army units’ commanders, former commanders and members of this unit and other guests.
On the occasion of the Day of the Unit, RecceIntelBn service personnel carried out a humanitarian activity, donating food to the humanitarian organization “Sveti Spas.” Additionally, a blood-donation campaign was organized in cooperation with the General Hospital “8 September,” at which 24 units of blood were collected.
