In the period between 30 March and 9 April there was a course for ammunition technicians handling ammunition and explosive devices (AMMOED). The instructors at the course were certified service personnel from the Joint Operations Command (JOC), who carry out the above mentioned activities as part of their duty.
The aim of the training is to provide specialised training for safe and proper management (supply, maintenance and disposal) of AMMOED, familiarization with the up-to-date manuals, standards and regulations as well as the safety measures for pyrotechnics protection.
During the training beside the theoretical part, several logistic facilities of ARM were also visited, where practical activities related to the topic of the course were carried out.
Twenty service personnel from JOC and other ARM units took part in the training, and in the future they will be responsible for managing AMMOED. There will be one more training for ammunition technicians handling AMMOED, which will take place in May.
At the end of the course which is organised by the GS of ARM, after successfully accomplishing the end of -the- course test the participant will be given certificates for the training they have received.
