Today, 04.17.2014, on the Kozhuv Mountain, the training of the members of the platoon for special purpose in the composition of the air brigade, for combat search and rescue in mountainous conditions was completed.
The training was conducted in the period from 14.04.2014 to 04.17.2014, and was attended by most of the members of special purpose platoon.
The purpose of the training is to maintain combat readiness of members of the special purpose platoon, to perform tasks within the scope of the search and rescue in difficult and inaccessible terrain.
The training included two helicopters, one Mi-8/17 for transport and one Mi-24 for combat support in the search.
The unit during the training drilled procedures for infiltration using a rope (rope link), field search in combat conditions, extracting wounded with a single system for extracting and exfiltration using rope (fast rope).
The Air Brigade Commander Colonel Kire Kolevski who visited the training pointed out that from what the special purpose platoon members have shown it can be concluded that the training of the unit is on a high level and that it can perform the mission and assigned tasks.
