During the second half of January and the first half of February, in accordance with the annual training plans for the 1st Infantry Brigade (1st IBde) subordinate units, the Reconnaissance Platoon members, of the 1st Infantry Brigade subordinate units, conducted training in winter conditions, on winter terrains in the mountains of the western part of the country.
After they had successfully conducted training for dwelling, living and executing tasks in winter conditions in their bases and training grounds, the practical realization of the learned techniques and skills for living, surviving and executing tasks in winter and snow conditions followed in this period, in accordance with the training plans.
In the one-week training, the personnel practically demonstrated the skills of handling and performing tasks in winter conditions, such as: moving in deep snow, overcoming snow obstacles with formative and utility assets, made by the personnel on the spot, making and staying in the facilities made by and in snow, shooting with personal weapons in snow and deep snow, as well as driving a snowmobile.
During the training, the units were visited by the officers in charge of the training from the headquarters of the 1st IBde, where they gained insight into the high training and psycho-physical readiness of the personnel to perform tasks in winter and mountain conditions.
