In the “Kuzman Josifovski – Pitu” barracks in Tetovo, members of the 3rd Infantry Battalion (3rd IBn) from the 1st Infantry Brigade (1st IBde) marked their unit’s day with a military ceremony.
At the ceremony, the commander of the 1st IBde, Brigadier General Dejan Kljlakovski congratulated the Day of the 3rd IBn and in his speech, he noted, “In the year when we are marking the 33rd anniversary of the establishment of the Army and 5 years of full NATO membership, you, the members of the 3rd Infantry Battalion, should be proud to be part of the Army, an institution that enjoys the greatest trust among citizens. Be proud of our profession and continue to work hard and with dedication, so that, together with the other members of the brigade, we remain the strongest guarantee for the defense of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Macedonia.”
In front of the unit’s formation and the guests present, the commander of the 3rd IBn, Lieutenant Colonel Mile Stanoevski, in his address, reflected on the history, traditions, and significance of August 27. He also extended his gratitude and recognition to the soldiers and officers for their hard work, loyalty, and responsibility in performing their assigned tasks. Letters of appreciation were also awarded to local entities with which the unit has excellent cooperation.
On the occasion of the unit’s day, congratulatory messages and orders for incentive measures for the unit’s members were read, while the reconnaissance platoon from the command company was declared the best platoon of the 3rd IBn for its results in training and task execution.
The ceremony was attended by officers from the command and staff of the 1st IBde, commanders of units within the 1st IBde, former commanders of the unit, representatives of the local government, representatives of veterans’ associations, WWII fighters, representatives of religious communities, and other guests.
