Today at the barracks “Straso Pindzur” in Petrovec a ceremony was held to commemorate the Day of the Air Surveillance and Reporting Battalion (ASRB).
The ceremony was attended by Air Force Brigade Commander, Colonel Robert Malezanski, representative of the 1st Mechanized Infantry Brigade, Sectional Officers and Commanders of the AFB,, former commanders and members of the ASRB and other guests.
In his address to the audience, the ASRB Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Oliver Stojanovski, highlighted the results and successes achieved during 2018 and 2019, with emphasis on the “Decisive Impact” exercise and the unit’s involvement in the preparation and implementation of the already signed Air Polising Agreement ( Air Patrol) with the Republic of Greece.
The AFB commander congratulated Unit Day to all members of the ASRB and noted that it was precisely this battalion that was the first link in our sky protection chain, a unit that constantly monitors airspace and is the first to alert for possible threats. He also noted that with the establishment of the Command and Control Center, the ASRB will receive an instrument to monitor and control our skies constantly.
Greetings were read from the Army Chief of Staff, JOC Commander and AFB Commander in front of the line, and incentives were given on the occasion of the Day of the Unit. The ASRB Liaison Platoon was awarded as the best unit.
