Today, the 25th anniversary since the death of Captain Zoran Bubevski was marked. Members of his family, numerous friends, the Signal Battalion personnel, and representatives of units’ commands honored his memory by laying fresh flowers at the memorial monument in the barracks “Ilinden” in Skopje.
During the commemoration, tribute was paid to his life’s work, dedication and courage, for which he was posthumously, awarded the Medal for Bravery by the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Macedonia at that time. “We paid our respects, shared our grief, and once again promised that his sacrifice and legacy will never be forgotten. He will forever be remembered as a hero who gave his life for something greater than himself.”
Every year, members of the Signal Battalion hold a memorial service in honor of the late Captain Zoran Bubevski.
