Today in the “Chojlia” barracks, the Vermont National Guard Commander, Major General Gregory Knight, visited the members of the Engineer Battalion (EngrBn) within the 1st Infantry Brigade (1st InfBde).
General Knight was welcomed by the Operations Command Commander, Brigadier General Besnik Emini, the OC Chief of Staff, Brigadier General Mirche Gjorgoski, the 1st Infantry Brigade Deputy Commander, Colonel Stevan Naumoski and the Engineer Battalion Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Ilcho Zakovski.
A briefing on the unit’s mission, formation, capabilities and capacities, equipment and modernization process was given to the Commander of the Vermont National Guard.
Within the framework of the visit, the Army members conducted a tactical exercise called: “Use of combat engineering when completing a specific task”, with which the personnel demonstrated high professionalism and training in completing the assigned task with Husky (Husky VMMD – Vehicle-Mounted Mine Detection) armored mobile vehicle for finding mines and detecting metal.
