On May 21st 2015 a delegation of the Vermont National Guard (NG) – the USA, led by the Vermont National Guard Command Sergeant Major Toby Quick, as part of the official visit to the Army, visited the garrison Kumanovo.
The delegation which was accompanied by the ARM Command Sergeant Major held a meeting with the Deputy Commander and the Command Sergeant Major of the Joint Operations Command (JOC), after which it visited the 1st Mechanized Infantry Battalion (1st MIBn) and held a meeting with the NCO corps.
At the meeting the NCOs within the battalion had the opportunity to exchange experiences, opinions, suggestions and proposals for improving the work of the NCO Corps of the Army in accordance with the NATO standards.
During the visit of the 1st MIBn, a methodical exercise “Mobile Checkpoint” was carried out before the delegation, on which the 1st MIB members showed the standard operating procedures that fully comply with the standards of NATO member states.
