Today at the barracks “Straso Pindzur” – Petrovec, a military ceremony was held on the occasion of handover of the duty Commander of the Air Surveillance and Reporting Battalion (ASRBn), within the Air Force Brigade (AFBde).
Major Oliver Stojanovski, who until now was ASRBn Deputy Commander, received the duty Commander of the ASRBn from the outgoing Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Aleksandar Krstevski.
The ceremony was attended by the Commanders of the units within the AFBde, retired ASRBn Commanders and other guests from the MoD and GS.
Deputy Commander of the AFBde, Lieutenant Colonel Stojko Pejovski addressed the audience and pointed out the activities this unit has completed during the previous period and congratulated both, the outgoing and the newly appointed Commanders. The outgoing ASRBn Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Aleksandar Krstevski expressed his gratitude to the members of the unit for their support. The newly appointed Commander, Major Oliver Stojanovski expressed his gratitude for the trust and opportunity to be Commander of the ASRBn and pointed out that he believes in even a greater and more successful completion of the given tasks. He also added that ASRBn is a guardian of the sovereignty of the Macedonian airspace, that it is the first and the most important link within the complete system for air defence and that it is a challenge to lead this unit which creates an even greater motive to continue completing the given tasks of the unit with dignity.
During the ceremony, there was an official signing of the handover of the duty between the outgoing and the newly appointed Commanders of the ASRBn.
