Shortly after starting the execution of tasks in the mission “Decisive Support” Macedonian peacekeepers continue to prove that with superb professionalism and dedication in carrying out tasks they remain a desirable partner for cooperation for NATO member states and other coalition forces participating in this mission.
Further evidence of this is the granting of award by the Government of the United States “Afghanistan Campaign Medal” to the commander of the platoon for force protection from the Macedonian contingent Captain Marjan Guguljanov.
The decoration was presented at a ceremony held on 24th March by the HQ Commander of the Battalion for Support and Security of the mission “Decisive Support”, US Colonel Paul Johnson.
This award is an additional incentive and challenge for all members of the Macedonian Army participating in the peacekeeping mission to achieve even greater success and affirm ARM in the best way.
