Within the civil military cooperation during february garrison commander of Prilep, Colonel Zarko Risteski realized meetings with the mayors of the municipalities in the area of responsibility of garrison Prilep.
The meetings started on 05.02.2014, when was a meeting with the Mayor of Krivogastani Mr. Tony Zatkoski, and the next day on 06.02.2014, with the Mayor of the Municipality of Krusevo Mr. George Damcheski.
On 10.02.2014, the meeting was held with the Mayor of Resen Mr. Djoko Strezovski. At this meeting, despite the mayor, also the Secretary attended who is also the advisor for education Mr. Goce Sokolevski and director of the school “King Samuel” Mr. Naumche Toskovski.
The meetings, wich were conducted in the premises of the municipalityes, was discussed about the mutual advancement in the established civil military cooperation and the possibility of local governments in the area of responsibility to contribute to the smooth implementation of the activities of the unit in accordance with its mission, and allow the unit to provide assistance and support to the activities of civilian structures in the municipalities, according to the needs.
The meetings with mayors in the area of responsibility and their education advisors consider the possibility of cooperation within municipality secondary schools. This cooperation could be realized by allowing high school students to visit the barracks and get acquainted with the conditions of life and work , and some of the officers of the garrison Prilep to attend school in order to affirm the soldier profession and ARM and strengthening the Patriot spirit in young people.
These meetings are aimed in establishing and promoting civil military cooperation and promotion of the unit in the area of responsibility. The next month will be scheduled meetings with other municipalities in the area of responsibility that were not covered in February.
