The Joint Operations Command (JOC) joined the celebration of the patron holiday of the municipal elementary school in Berovo that carries the name of one of the leaders of the Kresna Uprising “Dedo Iljo Maleshevski”.
The delegation from JOC laid a wreath of fresh flowers at the monument of Iljo Markov- Maleshevski in the school yard, and then had a meeting with the principal and some of the personnel of the school in Berovo.
The excellent civilian and military сoperation that JOC has with this school began last year when the students of this school joined the JOC Day celebration, with a literary and art competition and the compositions and art works that were given the first prize were read and presented to the attendees of the celebration.
Iljo Markov, also known as dedo Iljo Maleshevski is one of the most important figures in Macedonian history in the 19th century, a fighter for free Macedonia who wrote a major part of Macedonian history by participating in the uprisings that took place during that period.
It is expected that this year the students from this municipal elementary school will participate and make their contribution to the celebration of the JOC Day in accordance with the traditions of the prominent historical events that are the base of the traditions of ARM.
