The members of the Special Forces Battalion who took part in the Best Warrior Competition organised by the Tennessee Army National Guard in the United States of America, confirmed the reputation of being known as the “wolves” by achieving the highest results. One of the two representatives of the battalion was declared the best non-commissioned officer at this prestigious military competition.
At the competition, which took place at the unique training areas of the Tennessee NG, from 23rd to 26th February 2023, soldiers form the Tennessee NG and the Armed Forces of Bulgaria competed in 40 evaluated events like: fitness assessments, combat casualty care, land navigation, standard physical check-ups, assault course, marches with equipment and other.
Motivated to represent the Army and the country in the best way possible led to achieving the best scores at this rigours competition, where the mental and physical readiness are of utmost importance, confirming the qualities of the members of the Special Forces Battalion.
The competitor with the highest scores in all events, the member of our Special Forces Battalion, Sergeant V.E. was awarded Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year Ribbon-the soldier with the best performances, dedication, highest army standards, and a model soldier.
The team of two competitors was also joined by a non-commissioned officer who was an observer and evaluator. This is the first time our Army has participated in this prestigious annual competition of the Tennessee NG.
