As part of the activities commemorating the 30th jubilee of the foundation of the Army, members of the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) and its subordinate units participated in an fitness-recreational march on Mountain Slavej.
During the march activity participants visited the commemorative monument at the site where 1st regular military unit of the National Liberation Army of Macedonia, battalion ‘Mirche Acev’, was formed. To honor it, the Army celebrates the date as The Day of the Army.
March participants had the opportunity to attend a lesson in history on forming and activities of the battalion ‘Mirche Acev’. Historical and cultural values which are considered national heritage were presented. The history lesson was given by a curator from the Association of Army Veterans from the city of Ohrid.
