Today, at the Training and Doctrine Command, in the “Alexo Demnievski-Bauman” barracks in Veles, 292 newly enlisted soldiers for service in the Army took a solemn oath at a military ceremony, 28 of whom are female.
Today’s solemn oath of enlisted soldiers was attended by: the Deputy Minister of Defense, Tiron Jaјaga, the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Major General Azim Nuredin, the Commander of the Training and Doctrine Command, Colonel Vasko Kokolanski, representatives from the President’s Office, Army units commanders, relatives and friends of the newly enlisted professional soldiers.
The Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Major General Azim Nuredin, wishing successful professional development to the newly enlisted soldiers, told them that by taking the oath, they join the professional composition of the Army for faithful, dedicated and self-sacrificing service to our country. Wearing the Army uniform is a synonym for responsibility, sacrifice, dedication and loyalty to the homeland. At the same time, he expressed assurance in full dedication in the training process and achieving high results in mastering the teaching contents.
The Commander of the Training and Doctrine Command, Colonel Vasko Kokolanski, in his speech emphasized that the military profession represents a huge sacrifice, a great responsibility, but also a great honor. He also mentioned that wearing the uniform of a member state of the NATO Alliance is an additional responsibility and an exceptional privilege to actively participate in building and strengthening the system of collective defense and security, after which he congratulated them and told them that they are the pillar on which the army force is based.
The deputy commander of the Center for Individual Training, Captain Lazar Hadjiev, addressed the enlisted soldiers, stating that the main challenge in the next three months will be mastering the planned contents of the training.
In the coming period, the newly enlisted professional soldiers will face challenges that are part of basic combat training, and they will also be trained in handling personal weapons and equipment and correctly applying tactics, techniques and procedures when performing combat tasks.
