The Chief of General Staff of the Army of the Republic of Macedonia (ARM), Lieutenant General Metodija Velichkovski, today received the ARM officers who during the 2015/2016 academic year graduated at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS).
Today’s reception by General Velichkovski was attended by the Defense Attaché of the United Kingdom, Lieutenant Colonel Richard Perry.
General Velichkovski emphasized the importance of the education received by the ARM members at the prestige military academies of NATO member states, and the interoperability in the field of military education.
Also, through LTC Perry gratitude was expressed to CGS of the UK Army, General Ser Nicholas Patrick Carter, for the support given in the field of military education during the first official visit of the ARM CGS in April.
Previously, on Monday the CGS of the ARM received all the ARM officers who in the course of 2015/2016 academic year graduated at prestige military institutions in different foreign countries where the ARM has an established cooperation in the area of defense.
Continuously, thus far, every year about ten ARM members are being sent to and successfully accomplish their education and their postgraduate studies in different military areas at these military academies.
The knowledge and experience acquired by the ARM members at these military institutions is especially significant for incorporating the same in the military doctrine and planning of training and education in the ARM, enabling faster ARM integration in NATO.
