In accordance with its Main Activities Plan for touring the declared units of the Army, the multinational SEEBRIG HQ team conducted evaluation visits to the declared Engineer Platoon, part of the Engineer Battalion, at ATA ‘Krivolak’, and the declared Infantry Company of the 2nd Infantry Battalion (2nd IBn), part of the 1st Infantry Brigade (1st IBde) at the military barracks ‘Jane Sandanski’ in Shtip.
SEEBRIG representatives led by Brigade Commander, Brigadier General Evangelos Mitroutsikos, were received by the Operations Command Chief of Staff, Brigadier General Mirche Gjorgoski and by 1st IBde Deputy Commander, Colonel Goran Petrushevski.
At the briefing, held by 2nd IBn Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Zoran Sumrachki, the attendees were familiarized with the unit’s mission, structure and its capacities; experiences from the last evaluation process were shared, as well as information on the transformation and modernization of the unit.
As part of the activity, capabilities of the declared Engineer Platoon were presented to SEEBRIG representatives. Also, they had a tour of and watched the parade of the declared Infantry Company of the 2nd Infantry Battalion, part of SEEBRIG. Unit’s capabilities were presented through military exercises on the following topics: “Static Checkpoint and Crowd Control”.
