In the period from October 2 to 6 at the Training Center “Dr. Joseph Kruzel”, in the barracks “Goce Delchev” – Skopje, the first pilot-national course for NATO standardization for the needs of the members of the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia was successfully implemented.
17 people from the Army took part in the training for practical work with NATO standardization documents and execution of standardization activities in the domain of their specialty.
The training was organized and implemented by J-5 personnel in the General Staff of the Army, and representatives from the Department of Standardization at the Department of Logistics of the Ministry of Defense were also involved in the training.
Within the framework of the fulfillment of the obligations of the Republic of North Macedonia towards the NATO standardization system, the Army continuously upgrades and maintains at the required level the capacity for successful processing, implementation and administration of NATO standards, with the ultimate goal of achieving the required level of interoperability with the other member countries of the Alliance.
At the presentation of certificates to the participants of the course, the Director of the General Staff of the Army, Brigadier General Simeon Trajkovski, expressed his satisfaction with the progress in the field of NATO standardization, ordering the participants to actively engage in standardization activities while performing their duties in the Army.
