At a military ceremony in the “Ilinden” barracks in Skopje, in the presence of the Minister of Defence, Slavjanka Petrovska and the Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Vasko Gjurchinovski, the employment contracts were handed over to 150 professional soldiers, which officially marked their acceptance in the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia.
In her address to the newly recruited soldiers, Minister Petrovska said that the honour of wearing the army uniform is great and that their goal, which they should never give up on, is service to the homeland.
“It is a great honour that you are given to wear the army uniform, but even greater is the obligation that you receive. The path you are starting today is not at all easy, but it is noble. Prepare for challenges, temptations, sacrifices, but never give up on your sole goal of serving to the Republic of North Macedonia,” said the Minister at the ceremony.
With the admission of these 150 professional soldiers, out of which 10 are female, we achieve the planned equipping of the commands and units for the year 2023 with a total of 300 professional soldiers. The newly recruited soldiers, after completing the three-month basic training at the Training and Doctrine Command, will begin their military career in the Army units.
