The President and Commander-in Chief of the Armed Forces Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, accompanied by the Chief of the General Staff of the Army Major General Sashko Lafchiski, today visited the members of the Army at the “Jane Sandanski” barracks in Shtip.
On this occasion, President Siljanovska-Davkova congratulated the engaged members of the Army on the New Year holidays, during which she toured the tactical-technical warehouse where the equipment and armament of the 2nd Infantry Battalion were exhibited.
During the visit, President Siljanovska-Davkova was informed by the Commander of the 2nd Infantry Battalion about the situation in the unit, its mission and the tasks it executes.
In her address to the members of the Army, the President emphasized: “I know that you are respected, I know that you are glorious and I am glad to be here among you to continue a beautiful tradition.” At the same time, she emphasized that the exhibited equipment is proof that the Army keeps pace with the most modern armies and that she hopes that 2025 will be a year of peace processes that will be respected.
The Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Major General Sashko Lafchiski, stated on this occasion that the soldiers are highly motivated and prepared to conduct their tasks, while wishing them a successful year.
At the end of the visit, President Siljanovska-Davkova presented the 2nd Infantry Battalion with a video projector and attended the joint lunch.
