The Air Force WING carried out another aerial deployment today in the Debar region as part of the Army’s ongoing efforts to support institutions in managing wildfires.
A Mi-8MT helicopter completed multiple flights, executing 11 water drops and pouring a total of 22 tons of water onto the critical hotspots of the fire during a three-hour intervention.
The aerial operation was based on ground assessments and coordinated with competent institutions and firefighting teams, prioritizing active hotspots to stop the fire from spreading.
The Air Force WING of the Army remains in high operational readiness for further deployment and aerial support, in order to protect the population, property, and the environment.
