Teams from commands and units of the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia, traditionally, took part in the 15th International Open Shooting Tournament Grand Prix “Skopje 21”. The tournament, which was organised by the Macedonian Sport Shooting Federation, was held at the shooting range “Kamnik”.
The members of the Army have always had the best results in the personal weapon discipline and in this year’s competitions they have achieved impressive results in the following shooting disciplines: 25 metres pistol, 100 meters 7.62 mm rifle, and 100 meters semi-automatic sniper rifle.
The men’s team won the first place in the 100 meters 7.9 mm rifle discipline. Sergeant Major Tomislav Gonchev won the first place in the same discipline for individuals. In the women’s competitions, two cadets from the Military academy, Martina Stamenova and Milica Perishikj, won the first and the second place in 100 meters rifle shooting. The women’s team was third-placed in the 25 meters pistol discipline.
At the opening ceremony of the 15th Grand Prix “Skopje 21”, the Commander of the Operations Command, Brigadier General Besnik Emini wished the participants success and great results at the tournament.
The best teams and individuals were awarded with trophies and medals by the organiser of this event, the Macedonian Sport Shooting Federation.
