The training activities at the Army Training Area (ATA) “Krivolak” within the framework of the international exercise Immediate Response 25 are in full swing. Units from six NATO and two partner armies, with their own formation equipment and armament, are conducting ground combat operations, ground training and live firing.
Over the past few days, training at ATA Krivolak has included helicopter entry and exit procedures, boarding techniques, signaling for helicopter guidance, and determining zones for personnel unloading.
Participants in the exercise also conducted the securing of a patrol base prior to executing a planned attack and convoy movements. According to the exercise scenario, the attack took place during the night, and the “enemy forces,” though small in number, offered strong resistance.
The training activities will continue in the next period, until June 9, when the exercise will officially be closed. Meanwhile, on June 1st, an Open Day will be held at the city square in Kavadarci, starting at 10 a.m., where armored vehicles, weapons and protective equipment will be exhibited. The Distinguished Visitors Day will take place on June 2 at ATA “Krivolak”s, featuring a tactical exercise with live-fire command-level shooting under the theme “Reinforced Infantry Battalion in Attack.”
The international exercise involves over 2,200 military personnel from North Macedonia, the United States, Albania, Greece, Italy, Montenegro, Austria, and Kosovo.
