In the period from 15 to 19 March, in the barracks “Goce Delchev” a “Comprehensive Joint Operational Planning Course” was carried out organized by the Personnel Management Section – J-1 of the General Staff of the Army. Mentors of the course were instructors of the mobile training team of “Hellenic Supreme Joint War College” from the Republic of Greece.
The course was opened by the Chief of J-1/GS of the Army, Colonel Marjanche Spasov and the Defence Attaché of the Republic of Greece to the Republic of North Macedonia, Colonel Georgios Akriotis, and the goal of the course was training for a comprehensive joint operations planning, especially the area of defining the elements, tools and concepts of operations planning, the principle of planning and the strategic communication.
After completing the theoretical part of the training, which covers the planning in phases and the influences on the planning of operations by the political advisor, the legal advisor, the civil-military cooperation, the media and the Law on Armed Conflict, in accordance with the bilateral cooperation with the Republic of Greece, there will be a practical part in the upcoming period which will give the opportunity to show the knowledge practically by working in certain groups that will plan joint operations.
By completing this activity, the participants from the Army will be trained and certified to do tasks in the planning of operations in the NATO joint operations, which improves the entire system of achieving the necessary NATO standards and allows more efficient completion of the duties during the integration processes of the Army in NATO.
