Based on the Memorandum for Cooperation between the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe OSCE and the Republic of North Macedonia, in the period from 29 August to 07 September, 2023, organized by the General Staff of the Army, the third phase of the project for upgrading the national capacities for managing Small Arms, Light Weapons (SALW) and Explosive Materials was carried out.
As part of the activity, the participants were trained in the organization of control and technical inspections of the ammunition and mine explosives in order to take preventive measures for safe management of the lifespan of ammunition and explosive devices.
The activity was carried out by a mobile training team from the Armed Forces of the Republic of Austria.
Representatives from the Army, the Ministry of Interior, the Protection and Rescue Directorate and the NGO “Organization for Explosives and Weapons” from Skopje participated in the activity.
