Continuous training of Army personnel which is part of the training cycle for implementing NATO standardization, in accordance with the bilateral cooperation with the Hellenic Armed Forces, proceeded with conducting the 3rd module planned for this year.
The training on the 3rd module of the cycle was conducted from 12th to 14th November, 2022 at the Army House in Skopje, where selected personnel of the General Staff and Army commands and units enhanced their knowledge on implementing standardization activities as part of defense standardization.
As part of this activity, expert talks on defense planning were held with representatives of Directorate 2 of the Hellenic National Defense General Staff. Results from the ongoing cooperation were discussed. Also, experiences and best practices in the domain of defense planning were exchanged, and the needs and opportunities for expanding this cooperation were recognized.
These expert talks, on behalf of the Army General Staff of the Republic of North Macedonia were led by Brigadier General Simeon Trajkovski, Chief of Planning Section; whereas the delegation from the Hellenic National Defence General Staff was led by Brigadier General Ioannis Keliafanos.
This training cycle, which has continually been realized since 2019, supported by a mobile training team of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, enables participation of personnel from neighbouring NATO countries, thus a representative of the Albanian Armed Forces participated in the course.
On completing the course participants were given certificates of attendance handed out by Brigadier General Simeon Trajkovski and Defence attaché of the Hellenic Republic.
Consecutive expert talks on the same topic are to be held in Thessaloniki, the Hellenic Republic during the first quarter of 2023.
