Today, 5th February 2015, in the Army House a conference on the topic “Functioning of the logistics in ARM, challenges and suggestions to overcome them” was held. After the opening of the conference, the Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Goranco Koteski, in his address emphasized the importance of logistic supply, as one of the key areas for normal functioning of the life and work in ARM, with direct responsibility for combat-service support of the units on the battlefield.
CHOD of ARM, Deputy Chief of General Staff, Director of General Staff of ARM, commanders of subordinate commands and units, and chiefs of sections J-4 / A-4 / C-4 of the General Staff attended the conference.
The participants presented the problems and challenges encountered at work, referring to: maintenance, supplies and services, medical support, movement and transportation, infrastructure maintenance, the number of personnel and training of ARM members in the units for providing logistic supply.
At the end of the conference, the Chief of General Staff issued specific assignments and suggestions in order to improve the functioning of the military logistics at all levels, capacities for logistic support of the ARM and comprehensive and continuous cooperation and coordination with the relevant logistic authorities in the Ministry of Defence.
