Today, August 12, technical-repair center, which is part of the Brigade for Logistics Support, was visited by the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Macedonia, Ph.D Zoran Jolevski, Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Goranco Koteski, and Major General Metodija Velickovski, Commander of Joint Operational Command.
In the course of the visit mission and objectives of the center were presented, and the following departments were visited: admission and diagnosis of material and technical means (MTM), tyre adjustment, mechanical processing, fabrication, adjustment, adaptation and modification of MTM for the needs of the Army.
All NATO armies have such centers – stated the Minister of Defence, pointing out that there will be investment in the future in both staff training, and equipment maintenance. He stressed that it is very important ARM equipment to be constantly functional and repaired effectively.
The Chief of Staff said that the importance of the existence of this center is enormous because this is the only such center in the army. The General inter alia stated that despite the development, training of personnel and supply of spare parts, this center should follow the technological development, in ARM, and in the armies of NATO member states.
Technical-repair center, part of the Brigade for Logistics Support, functions in a rank of a Battalion, and its basic mission is maintenance of material resources, capacity building and maintenance of ammunition and explosives.
