At the barracks “Alexo Demnievski-Bauman” in Veles, a military ceremony was held today to celebrate the Day of the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), commemorating the date in 1992 when the first conscript was received into the ranks of the Army.
The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Defense, Vlado Misajlovski, the Chief of the Army General Staff, Major General Sashko Lafchiski, the Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Major General Azim Nuredin, active-duty and retired generals, former TRADOC commanders, representatives of the Army and the Ministry of Defense, members of the military-diplomatic corps, local government officials, religious community representatives, and other distinguished guests.
Addressing the audience, Minister Misajlovski emphasized that the TRADOC represents an institution where “the way the Army learns, develops, and operates is defined. This is where the foundations of every professional service personnel are established.” He added that only through clear doctrine, high-quality training, and continuous professional development a functional and ready Army can be guaranteed.
“Your role in aligning with NATO standards is particularly significant. Interoperability is not achieved declaratively, it is built through systematic, precise, and continuous training. Thanks to your efforts, our service personnel are capable of operating on an equal and professional footing in a multinational environment, where we demonstrate daily that we stand shoulder to shoulder with our Allies”, the Minister stated.
Misajlovski also mentioned the Army Training Area “Krivolak”, which, as part of the Command, represents one of the Army’s most critical assets. Its value will be further demonstrated during the upcoming exercise “FLASH 26,” where the Light Infantry Battalion Group will undergo evaluation.
In his remarks, the Chief of the General Staff, Major General Lafchiski emphasized that the Training and Doctrine Command goes beyond the scope of conventional training, transforming civilian potential into highly trained, disciplined, and values-oriented military personnel capable of operating in complex and dynamic operational environments.
“Through a systematic approach to education, training, and evaluation, you develop leaders at all levels of command, built upon the principles of professionalism and loyalty to the constitutional order and national interests”, General Lafchiski stated.
The Commander of TRADOC, Brigadier General Lulzim Nuredini, noted that guided by the motto “EVERY SKILL REQUIRES IMPROVEMENT,” service personnel of the Command remain firmly committed to fulfilling assigned tasks, aligning with NATO standards, and continuously enhancing the Army’s capabilities. He also emphasized their significant contribution in support of civilian institutions, particularly in responding to the wildfires that affected the country, demonstrating professionalism and readiness to serve the citizens.
As part of the ceremony, commendations and incentive awards were given to TRADOC service personnel for outstanding performance, letters of appreciation were awarded to partner organizations and individuals, and diplomas were given to teams that participated in sports competitions organized on the occasion of the Day of the Unit.
Additionally, awards and recognitions were presented to winners of competitions for best artwork and best poem organized by the Primary School “Vasil Glavinov” in Veles. The best poem was read at the event, and an exhibition of students’ drawings from local primary schools was displayed.
