The Chief of General Staff of ARM, Lieutenant General Gorancho Koteski, today (the 26th of June, 2015) visited KFOR. The CGS of ARM met the Commander of Allied Joint Force Command located in Naples, Admiral Mark Ferguson and KFOR Commander Major General Francesco Figliuolo.
The meeting was held at the camp Bondsteel in Republic of Kosovo and it focused on the security situation in the region, possibilities of improving the cooperation with KFOR and exchange of information with ARM. CGS of ARM was informed about the security situation in the KFOR area of responsibility as well as about their activities and future plans. General Koteski demanded better and more efficient involvement of KFOR at the border of Macedonia and Kosovo.
It has been determined that ARM and KFOR have been cooperating and will cooperate in the future in order to strengthen the security in the region.
Furthermore, they discussed about the role of the Nation Support Coordination Center which was included in the formation of the ARM. Its focus is on coordination with KFOR for customs and border transport procedures, other logistics support of KFOR, and in this manner the ARM participates in the KFOR mission.
In addition, CGS of ARM met the Commander of the Kosovo Security Forces, Major General Rahman Rama and talked about cooperation and security issues in the region.
