Today, 15th April 2015 (Wednesday), at the barracks “Aleksa Demnievski – Bauman” in Veles, the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) Day was celebrated. The celebration was attended by the Deputy of the Chief of GS Lieutenant General Naser Sejdini, Joint Operations Command Commander Major General Metodija Velichkovski, TRADOC Commander Colonel Ljupcho Kostovski, high officials from MoD and GS of ARM, commanders of subordinate commands and units of ARM GS, representatives of the local government and other distinguished quests. TRADOC Commander Colonel Ljupcho Kostovski in his speech said that the celebration of TRADOC Day marks the establishment of the unit in 1992, when the first recruits made their first steps in ARM barracks. He also added that TRADOC Command had reached NATO standards, and by accomplishing its fundamental mission TRADOC had given continuous support providing training for all of ARM units and commands, as well as individual training. Emphasizing the fact that TRADOC manages the assault courses and the training areas of ARM, Colonel Kostovski stressed their vital role in the conduct of all types of practical training in the army, and for the needs of other national institutions.
Congratulating the TRADOC service personnel on their Day of the Unit General Sejdini underlined the responsibility of TRADOC in organizing and conducting the training for all ARM units, which is at the same time its basic mission since it has been established until today. He also added that as a result of the transformation of TRADOC the standards of training were improved which led to successful and easier accomplishment of NATO standards.
At the celebration of TRADOC Day the service personnel of the unit were given incentive awards and local artists and school children form Veles took part in an art and cultural show.
The basic mission of TRADOC is to organize, coordinate and conduct individual training for soldiers, cadets, active duty or reserve non commissioned officers and officers of ARM, as well as give support to training of the commands and units of ARM and development of the doctrines of past experiences.
