This year for the tenth time the traditional army cross-country race was held, organized by the General Staff.
The cross-country race took place on the track at the “Stenkovec” shooting range which was 6km long for men and 3km for women.
Prior the race Colonel Rahikj wished the participants success and victory so that the best would win, emphasizing the high level of fitness by which the members of ARM promote themselves and promote the army in our country and abroad.
Marija Pelikon, from the Honor Guard Battalion won the first place in the individual women’s race in cross country running, Private Angela Ginovska from the Rangers Battalion won the second place and Cadet Angela Stavrova won the third place.
Private Milosh Ranchikj was the best in the men’s race, Major Igor Jakimovski took the second place and Private Trajche Ilievski won the third place.
In women’s team category the first place was won by the Cadets Training Centre and in men’s team category the first place was won by the Special Forces.
The members of ARM commands and units with their participation showed that physical fitness and sports spirit are necessary factors for healthy life and successful completion of all tasks in the military profession.
After the races, the most successful individuals and teams were presented with medals and cups.
