Today, the 30th of October, Minister of Defence Talal Djaferi and Deputy Chief of GS of ARM Lieutenant General Naser Sejdini visited the medical team of ARM which is going to be deployed to Bosnia and Herzegovina for six months, as a part of the fifteenth rotation of the mission ALTEA. Director of GS of ARM Major General Dimche Petrovski, Logistics Brigade Deputy Commander, Military Medical personnel Commander and other key personnel of MoD and GS of Arm also visited the medical team.
Minister Djaferi is pleased with the work of the medical team of ARM in the mission ALTEA so far; however he said that, next six months, the medical team needs to carry out their work professionally in order to successfully continue presenting ARM and Republic of Macedonia in this EU mission.
During the ceremony on behalf of the Chief of the General Staff and ARM members, gratitude to the present was given by the Deputy Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Naser Sejdini who noted that the unselfish support of the ARM will not be forgotten and with it the artists helped to bring the Army closer to the citizens. General Sejdini said that this is an excellent example of cooperation with the civilian structures and this will continue in the future.
General Sejdini said that, in the last six years, the medical team of ARM has best demonstrated the capabilities and interoperability of ARM within ALTEA, as well as established ARM and Republic of Macedonia as well known partners. The medical team of ARM consists of 10 people, medical personnel and support staff, whose primary mission within mission ALTEA is to give medical aid to EUFOR servicemen who are accommodated in the camp Butmir, near Sarajevo.
Participation of ARM in mission ALTEA as a part of EUFOR is very important for Republic of Macedonia in order to promote medical operation capabilities of ARM.
The last preparations of the medical team of ARM before leaving for Butmir are finishing soon, so regular rotation is planned to be at the beginning of November.
