Today, 7 April 2015 (Tuesday), as a part of the civil-military cooperation between the Macedonian Army and civilian structures, a visit to the barracks “Ilinden” in Skopje and the ARM GS was carried out by the primary school students from “Braka Miladinovci” from the Aerodrom municipality in Skopje.
This was an excellent opportunity for fifty fifth-graders from the elementary school “Braka Miladinovci” to visit the barracks “Ilinden”, where the Ceremonial Guard Battalion members first showcased the performance “Egzercir”. The young visitors had the opportunity to become familiar with the equipment and part of the job duties and tasks performed by the Military Police Battalion members. The students rounded up the visit to the largest ARM barracks with socializing with the members of the Special Forces Battalion in the composition of the Special Operations Regiment, having the opportunity to visit the memorial room of the unit.
During the second part of the visit, the students stayed at the MoD and GS, where they were familiarized with the tasks and functions of these two institutions and where they were shown a photo display of the ARM members participating in missions outside of the Republic of Macedonia.
At the end of the visit, to express their gratitude, the students donated handmade collage images with text dedicated to the MoD, the ARM GS and the ARM members of the “Ilinden” barracks.
