A team of inspectors of a specified area, according to the “Vienna Document 2011” visited General Staff (GS) of ARM and its subordinate commands and units from 14-15 of October.
The inspection team included servicemen of the armed forces of Poland, guest inspector from the United Kingdom, an inspector from the United States of America accompanied by members of the Department of Verification and Arms Control at the Ministry of Defense of Republic of Macedonia.
Their two-day visit started at the GS of ARM, then they visited the Joint Operations Command and the Reserve Forces Command in Kumanovo, afterwards they visited the 1st Mechanized Infantry Brigade and the Air Force Brigade in Petrovec. The following day they visited the Special Operations Regiment and the Logistics Brigade in Skopje and after that the Training Command and Doctrine in Veles.
The key personnel of GS of ARM and the Commands of the subordinate commands and units familiarized the team of inspectors with the current activities and conditions in accordance with the “Vienna Document 2011” in relation to the mission, organizational structure, number of personnel and equipment in the units.
These annual visits of the inspection team are in accordance with the provisions of the ”Vienna Document 2011”. The inspectors visited RM in order to exchange military information and to familiarize themselves in a transparent way with the current situation with the armament, equipment and training in the units they visit.
