Today (27.08.2014) in the military barracks “Kuzman Josifovski – Pitu”, Tetovo, there was a celebration of the day of the third Mechanized Infantry Battalion (3rdMIBn) within the 1st Mechanized Infantry Brigade (1stMIBde). There were many guests at the celebration including the 1stMIBde Second in Command, Colonel Velin Stojanovski, local government officials, MIA representatives, and local media.
The 3rdMIBn Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Atanas Panovski said that the battalion personnel have demonstrated their professionalism, loyalty and diligence in accomplishing the assigned missions and confirmed that they are highly organized unit whose hard work helped them to achieve admiring goals.
The Chief of GS of ARM greeting was read at the ceremony as well as the stimulative measures for the battalion personnel.
The ceremony ended with a parade of the battalion units.
27th of August was set as the day of the 3rdMIBn by the President of Republic of Macedonia and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces because on that day the 15th Assault Brigade of Poreche was formed in Breznica and the 3rdMIBn continues its traditions.
