The Commander of the First Infantry Brigade (1IBde) Brigadier General Sashko Lafchiski met the USA Defense Attaché to the Republic of North Macedonia, Colonel Daniel Squires.
At the meeting, they talked about the upcoming activities and tasks of the 1IBde, as well as the upcoming tasks on the way of reaching NATO capabilities goals. The USA aid and support the Army units especially the units within the 1IBde which is highly appreciated. Some of the topics they discussed were the US support in military training and maintenance of military equipment, on which both parties expressed their satisfaction with the current cooperation. In addition, they talked about future plans of enhancing that support. Moreover, they discussed about bilateral army cooperation through a large number of joint military exercises, education cooperation, as well as support in improving the capacities of the brigade.
Colonel Squires was accompanied by the Chief of the US Defense Cooperation Office and part of the team of the 4th Security Force Assistance Brigade (4SFAB) who is constantly involved in the training of the service personnel of the 1IBde units.
