The Air Force Ving was urgently deployed this morning to assist in extinguishing a forest fire in the Jasen region.
The intervention began at 06:30 in the morning following official notification and coordination with relevant authorities.
Over the course of a three-hour operation, 26 water drops were carried out, with a total of 52 tons of water discharged on the fire’s most critical hotspots. The firefighting efforts were supported by the Protection and Rescue Directorate (PRD) and the Ministry of Interior (MI), which provided logistical and operational assistance on the ground. The aerial support played a key role in reducing the intensity of the fire and preventing its further spread.
This latest operation highlights the crucial role of the Air Force Ving in responding to natural disasters, providing rapid, precise and effective air support. The teams remain on standby, ready to continue protecting lives, property and the natural environment.
