
Mission:
To manage the system for development of doctrines and lessons learned and to create doctrines, regulations, instructions, manuals and other publications of the Army of the Republic of Macedonia.
Tasks:
- Developing system of doctrines;
- Developing system of lessons learned;
- Coordinating the development of doctrines, regulations, instructions, manuals and lessons learned;
- Printing and distribution of doctrines, regulations, instructions, manuals and lessons learned;
- Creating concepts for development and application for the Army of the Republic of Macedonia;
- Creating concepts for developing the branches and services of the Army of the Republic of Macedonia;
- Managing the list (register) of issued publications;
- Managing the electronic database and website of the centre for doctrines and lessons learned;
- Cooperation with similar institutions in the Republic of Macedonia and abroad.
Lieutenant Colonel Dejan Jovanovski
Lieutenant Colonel Dejan Jovanovski was born in 1977 in Veles. He finished primary and secondary school in Veles before attending the Military Academy “General Mihailo Apostolski” in Skopje from 1995 to 1999.
He began his military service as a Platoon Commander at the Border Guards Training Centre in Veles garrison. Throughout his career, he has held multiple command and staff positions: Border Post Commander, Logistics Company Commander, Garrison Affairs Officer in the Training and Doctrine Command, Deputy Commander of the Individual Training Centre, Commander of the Cadet and Officer Training Centre, Military Planning Officer in the Training and Doctrine Command, and since January 29, 2025, Chief of the Doctrine, Rules, Guidelines, and Lessons Learned Development Centre.
He advanced his expertise at the Command and Staff College at the Military Academy “Franjo Tudjman” in Zagreb, Croatia, from August 2018 to June 2019, as well as through attending courses in the country and abroad, including “Force Planning Phase 1/2”, “Building Integrity in Peace Support Operations”, “NATO Standardization”, and others.
He participated in NATO’s “Resolute Support” mission in TAAC-CS- Kabul as a lessons-learned staff officer from December 2015 to June 2016, and NATO’s “KFOR” mission in Kosovo as the Chief of the Planning Section in the Joint Logistics Support Command from May to December 2024.
He has been awarded and decorated multiple times for his service. He is fluent in English. He is a father of two children.
