
Mission:
It supports the collective training of the commands and units of the Army during conducting of the planned tactical exercises, range practice, water training and training in winter conditions.
Tasks:
- Provides conditions for conducting the planned exercises and range practice at the training area Krivolak and the firing range Petrovec;
- Supports the commands and units in creating and conducting of the planned exercises at the Simulation Center;
- Conducts individual training and supports collective training at the water training camp;
- Supports the individual and collective training of the units of the Army at the winter conditions training center.
Lieutenant Colonel Goran Kimov
Lieutenant Colonel Goran Kimov was born on 28 September, 1982, in Kavadarci. He finished primary and secondary school in his hometown. He continued higher education at the Military Academy “General Mihailo Apostolski” in Skopje. He began his military career in 2005 as an artillery officer, as part of the eleventh class of graduates from the Military Academy “General Mihailo Apostolski” in Skopje. Upon commissioning as a Second Lieutenant, he was assigned to his first position as a platoon commander in the Artillery Battalion in Prilep.
Throughout his career, he has held several command and staff positions, including: Platoon Commander, Company Commander, Artillery Officer in the Headquarters of the 1st Infantry Brigade, Chief of S-3 in the Artillery Battalion. Since December 2023, he serves as the Commander of the Training Support Center.
He has completed numerous courses for platoon and company commanders and staff duties, both in country and abroad. Over the course of his career, he has received multiple commendations and awards. He participated in the international operation “Resolute Support” in Afghanistan during 2020. He is proficient in English.

The Training Support Center (TSC) is established in accordance with the new organizational and formational structure of the Training and Doctrine Command in 2012.
The Training Support Center assists the training of the army units on land, water and in air. It consists of: Training Area “Krivolak”, Water Training Camp Ohrid, Winter Conditions Training Camp Popova Shapka and the Firing range “Petrovec” in the barracks “Chojlija” in the Petrovec Garrison.
The Training Area “Krivolak” is one of the biggest in the Balkans spread on 22.000 hectares with the most complete capacities and possibilities for up-to-date training. It features in a great number of accomodation facilities at seven locations, such as quarterings and camps.
The Water Training camp covers 40.000 square metres and has its own beach and suitable sport fields for training. The water training is supported with the use of an army ship and several boats. Besides assistance in training the members of the special forces of the ARM and the cadets from the Cadet training center, it supports a lot of civilian agencies.
The Winter conditions training camp is a modern center for training in winter conditions of the members of the special forces of the ARM and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and for training of the cadets from the Cadet training center. It has accomodation facilities for 120 people and the necessary training equipment.
The Firing range “Petrovec” is located in the barracks “Chojlija” and it is used for conducting all of the single shootings with infantry armaments of the units of the ARM.
