
Mission:
To plan, organize, coordinate and provide logistics support to second level units which are supported by the LS Scheme and overall LS of its own units.
Tasks:
- To plan, organize, coordinate and provide logistics support when it is responsible for:
– Supply;
– Maintenance and repair;
– Movement and transport;
– Infrastructure;
– Services.
- To coordinate and direct LS requests from commands and units which are supported by LBn;
- To reinforce logistics scope of supported units when conducting training, being in the field or in combat and participating in peacekeeping missions;
- To provide logistics support at the military barracks for all units which work and live in the garrisons.

1st Logistics Battalion was founded on the 1st of March, 2006. The battalion command is in the military barracks “Jane Sandanski” in garrison in Shtip. It has units in military barracks “Jane Sandanski” in Shtip, “Boro Menkov” in Kumanovo, “Aleksa Demnievski-Bauman” in Veles, and army training area Krivolak. According to the logistics support scheme 1Logistics Bn provides logistics support to JOC units, TDC, 1MIBr and all national and international military exercises which are held at the army training area Krivolak.
Major Cvetko Janevski , currently the rank of colonel, and LSupBr Deputy Commander, was the first 1st Logistics Battalion Commander, from 2006 to 2008. Lieutenant Colonel Vasko Lapevski was 1st Logistics Battalioin Commander from 2008 to 2012. Lieutenant Colonel Branko Srbinovski has been 1st Logistics Battalion Commander since February 2012.
1st LogBn is a support element and with its personnel and supplies and resources have taken part in many exercises in RM (Flash, Lancer, MEDECUR…) as well as aid citizens when there are natural disasters (flood in Radovish in 2008, earthquake in Valandovo area, fire fights).
The servicemen of this unit also participate in peacekeeping missions in B&H, Afghanistan, that is in ISAF and ALTEA, respectively. The unit has been transforming since 2012, and essential changes have been made in separating medical support and ground rescue platoons from the battalion.
